Rudraksham motifs in kanchipuram silk sarees are most commonly woven into the border. The motifs line the border either on a single side or both sides with a thick band of zari or no zari at all. Light Weight Traditional Sarees with a simple border have the Rudraksham motif on the border. Some traditional sarees, although rare, have this motif as bhutties on the body as well. There are also traditional bridal sarees that have the most traditional motifs like the annam, elephant and rudraksha woven only on to the pallu.
