Six Temple Rekku - A richly detailed temple border with a six pointed temple gopuram design in small triangles and a single triangle gopuram as a spacer between each six pointed gopuram. This is the pattern in which the korvai joint is woven between the body and border of the saree.

Pillaiyar Mukku - This is a five pointed temple design with five triangles and a single triangle gopuram as spacer. This pattern could be designed on one side of the border or on both sides of the saree.
