Kanchipuram Silk Saree - Handwoven Pure Silk - Pure Zari - PV G 4295

A traditional handwoven Kanchipuram saree woven in pure silk and pure zari. The body is in dark grey shot purple with intricate silk thread work panels in cream coloured silk thread. The panels of silk thread work are in traditional designs like maiyil kan and chevron in geometric patterns. The korvai border and pallu are in magenta, with exquisite traditional designs featuring a central band of gandaberuda motifs, flanked by chakram and annpakshi motifs enclosed in squares. The gandaberunda motifs are in alternating gold zari and silk thread while the flanking designs are in silk thread in the border. The korvai magenta pallu has rich gold zari work, with a central column of chevron patterns flanked by columns of elephant and annapakshi motifs in gold zari. The blouse is in magenta.
